Warm Wishes.

Yes, I know. Lately I have had a thing for easel cards. They really are so much fun and make such a nice thing to give someone who you want to give an extra-special card to. This stamp by Stampabilities is called "Bunny Cruise - Bumble". Just a perfect image since we are in the middle of old, hot summer. Makes you feel cooler just looking at it, doesn't it?

I really had to search for a sentiment to go with it though. I ended up using "Warm Wishes" from a Christmas set. I have to admit, I am pretty proud of THAT idea!

Copic Colors: Bunny: W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, R20. Intertube: R01, R02, R05. Water & fish: BG70, BG72, BG75. Background: BG000. Duck & Lemonade: Y32, Y35, Y38.

Thanks for stopping in and "warm wishes" to you too!

Oh, Darling.

I have been  card making fool! As I finished up my job, I wanted to do some thank you cards for some of my special friends that I wouldn't be working with any longer at the store. This KaiserCraft 6X6 paper made the perfect background for a friend of mine. Better yet, her favorite color is what? PURPLE! This stamp from Little Darlings was just screaming to be colored for this card.

Copic Colors: Dress: V20, V25, V09. Hat band: RV21, RV23, RV25, RV 29. Flowers: Y32, Y35, Y38 Skin & Hair: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E59.

Hope you are having some lazy summer days. Around our house we are starting to gear up for the kiddos going back to school.

As always, thanks for stopping in!

Little Darlings...

I have another card I did for another friend. I just have had the urge to color red hair. Here is a Copic color combo that I just love! This stamp is also from Little Darlings. The flowered paper is from JilliBean Soup.

It seems that lately I have been better about creating than posting. However, someday (before I die) I might get the right balance between creating and getting them up here so you can see them. I have tried to balance scrapbooking, cardmaking and Copic coloring along with the other things in life that I have to do. If someone has a way they manage that, would you let me in on the secret?

Copic colors: Hair: E13, YR18, E07, E09, E59. Overalls: B32, B34, B37, B39. Shirt & Bow: R81, R85, R 89. Flowers: R20, R000, R22. Shoes & Basket: E53, E55, E59.

Thanks for stopping in! Believe it or not, there will soon be another project pop up here because of my creating "frenzy".

I am still alive.

Hi there, Peeps! I truly hope you are enjoying your summer, no matter what your plans have been. Vacation? Travel? Spending time with your kiddos? I have been busy trying to de-stress from losing my job (store closed, now unemployed) and trying to find a new job. I am anticipating some exciting things coming up, so stay tuned!

I have had time to create some things. This is a thank you card I did for a dear friend at work. The blue dotted paper is from JilliBean Soup. The flowered paper is from DCWV (I think). ;O) The stamp (isn't she just adorable??) is from Little Darlings. Now, the Copic Colors! I remembered to write them down!!!

Dress: BG 53, BG57, BG09. Ribbon on hat: BV 000, BV 02, BV 04, BV 08. Flowers on Hat: RV 21, RV 23, RV 25, RV 29. Hat and skin: E13, YR18, E07, E09, E59.

Thanks for stopping. Pop in again soon as there are most posts scheduled!

Something new.

This is my first attempt at an easel card. I was pleased at the way it turned out. That House Mouse image is one of my favorites! Isn't he cute? And again, I didn't record the Copic Markers I used. However, I do know that the mouse was colored with the "W" gray series. Not a lot of help, huh?

I did think that maybe I would make the cake a chocolate color. I think in all things chocolate. I love that stuff. I am not sure how I would survive without chocolate and Diet Pepsi. Anyhoo...back on topic here. I decided that the little mouse would "pop" better if he weren't leaning against the dark cake, so instead, I made the cake a luscious yellow. Yummy.

Thanks for stopping in, Friends. Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend! Be safe out there!

I love this stamp.

I do have to tell you that I love this Mo Manning stamp. Isn't it so much fun? This happens to be a birthday card for my mother-in-law. However, this stamped image could be used for a lot of different things. I first fell in love with it because it reminded me of my daughter who is in middle school. I recently got some Copic markers (a "need") so I could play around with making one of the girls a redhead. Hummm...love that.

And again, I was naughty. Since I was playing, I didn't record the markers I was using. My apologies. However, sometimes it is nice to just sit and color and not worry about making a list of colors you are using. I will try to get better. Though that may not happen for another couple of posts. (Just a bit of foreshadowing here...)

Hope you are having a great week!

Finally!

Wow! So much for good intentions, huh? I have had a few unexpected things pop up as far as my job has been concerned. We are now in the process of relocating an 8000-square-foot retail space. However, if the relocation doesn't take place by the last day of June. I will be unemployed. So here is to hoping and praying for a new job!

However, even though I haven't been posting, I have been creating and taking photos. So over the next week, I will post those here.

Here is project number one!

This was a card for my son for his 10th birthday. A couple of years ago he started requesting that I "color" him a card especially for his birthday.
The dragon image was just so fun to color. It is a digi stamp from Dustin Pike. Because I did this just for fun for him, I did something naughty. I didn't write down my Copic color combinations. Sorry, Friends. However, I do hope you enjoy the project. Pop back in a day or two for more photos of a different project!
As always, thanks for stopping by.

Sometimes it just needs to be easy...

Well, sometimes I think that I just make things too difficult and too time-consuming. Now don't misunderstand me, I love all things layered, colored and just so. However, there is definitely a time for the simple. Well, that time is NOW. Here is a card I did quite a while ago, but by stamping the birds (which I cut out on my Silhouette SD) and adhering them on top of some stamped images that are layered  and done in different inks, simple was the key.

Hope you have had a good week. I just can't believe that it is about time for another to begin. Life just keeps zooming by! Have a restful completion to your weekend  and check back soon!

The Next Generation

Well, this is what I have been doing. I drew this for my daughter's birthday card. Of course, I don't even claim to have it actually ON a card...but the coloring is done. I will try to post a picture of the finished card. (If I ever get it done!! Maybe it will be for NEXT year's birthday, since her birthday is already past for this year.) I wish I had done my job and actually written down what marker numbers I had used...but I was coloring for fun and not making note of those things. Sometimes, it is just nice to not have to think ahead and remember to make notes about things like that!

Also, just so you know...I am passing on my LOVE of Copic markers to my children. Here is a peak at the Copic Lesson (I must say it was much anticipated by my children...they nagged me to sit down and give them a lesson...) with my kids. I guess I will just pass this on to the next generation....

The kids chose their own digital prints and colored the whole image before we were done. They were so excited! And I must say, they did a great job.

Enjoy your week, Friends. I hope you will check back regularly!

Where are thou?

Well, it might seem that I have been lost. However, I have just been busy. Life does get in the way, and so does work. I am the assistant manager for the largest scrapbook store in the Northwest. (8000-square-feet) and it has kept me busy, busy, busy. At first it was getting the store set up and started. Then it was hiring, training and keeping staff. After that, it was making and updating store samples. (OH, and insert time for Copic Certification) Now I teach all the Copic classes for the store. Unfortunately, not a lot of creative time. All my blogging time seems to be spent on keeping up the store blog and Facebook, and after that...nothing left more me.

Besides that, my kids seen to keep growing up. But I think I need to put more emphasis on my creative endeavors. Either that, or just lose my mind. Too much stress and not enough creative time sure do make you feel old very quickly. So I am beginning the slow process of coming back. Check back soon for some photos of some of my Copic coloring and other projects.
Thanks for stopping in!
